Coming from a WiFi Oasis 1, cellular was an additional part of my upgrade rationale buying an LTE Oasis 3.
First cellular I’ve had since the original Paperwhite. It’s at work (no WiFi, or rather, flakey public WiFi I’ve no desire to use) where I often put down the Kindle and go elsewhere for lengths of time. It’s been a frequent annoyance for years that when I’ve had the opportunity to read on my phone, sans Kindle, I’ve forgotten my progress.
Having LTE on all day unsurprisingly eats through battery, although I suspect my use case is extreme. I work on the railway and I typically spend 8 hours + on a moving train, meaning signal differs wildly effectively all my work day, hammering the battery. Not a big deal, expected this, and having my position synced between Kindle and phone 99% of the time has been great this past week.
Always on access to Wikipedia is great too for non-dictionary definitions.
Charged it twice in 6 days since it arrived in the post.
