That button is not dynamic, so, unless you somehow reinstalled an older Helper extension version, it has no reason to ever disappear.
If you meant the checkmark disappeared, that's perfectly normal. The checkmark is a transient GUI feature that just indicates a button has been clicked *in that session*.
