Why moon+ reader makes a copy of a book?

Hi! I'm using Oreo 8.1.0 on my oneplus 5t phone. I'm new to moon+ reader. Recently, I noticed that it creates a separate file for every epub I open. I came to know about this when I opened a 191 mb epub on it and it created a copy of it.

I was actually searching for large files and folders in my phone and this popped up.

Is there a way so that moon+ reader uses the source file from my ebooks folder without creating a copy of it?
