The idea of getting a Kobo was really a back up plan for whenever (if) Amazon withdraw support for the early version of Kindle for PC/Mac (still compatible with Calibre). I never had any complaints about the Kindle screen resolution or lighting, but then I saw the larger H20 screen with its adjustable light tone and fancied upgrading.
