you could get the book into calibre - open with editor, look for any unusual coding or structure...
also test if that same book crashes Kindle for PC/mac/whatever if you download a copy to that
does the free sample also crash the kindle or only the full book?
. it could be easier for other folks to test the sample on various devices e.g. other kindles as no purchase needed. o you say it is ok on older kindles but what about voyage, oasis... it may be to do with a particular firmware version rather than a specific device
