Before you install customer firmware, are you completely sure you're jailbroken? Did you get the You are Jailbroken document?

Update over wifi, you have no control. You get what Amazon sends you. Thankfully, you can do manual updates.

Customer FW 5.10.1.3

For future reference, you can typically just copy the latest link from Amazon and replace the digits with the firmware version you want to download.

Don't go above 5.10.1.3 yet until you're sure the jailbreak works.
