I made a restore of my KT4W and at settings I used english as the language; but I think this is not important.
Then I installed the factory firmware
and then I decompressed the kindle-jb-factory-1.3-r16160.tar.xz with winzip in a windows computer. I suspected about this because I had decompressed it on my mac with "the unarchiver" and the merchant.zip file seemed to be a direct access, not the real file.
So I did the search procedure with the new merchan.zip file on my kindle and I got the you are jailbroken.txt document.
Let me now continue with the procedure installing the hotfix jailbreak package.
