Eliot, George: Die Mühle am Floss. V1 [German] 15.7.2019

Anders als "Romola" dürfte "Die Mühle am Floss" (1860) wohl der hierzulande populärste Roman (neben "Adam Bede") von George Eliot sein. Er erscheint hier in einer zeitnahen Übersetzung von Julius Frese aus dem Jahre 1861.
Das Cover beruht auf einer Illustration des amerikanischen Künstlers Frederick Stuart Church (aus der illustrierten ›Cabinet Edition‹), die sich auf den Schluss dieses Werkes bezieht.
