Still...it's yet another example of why DRM removal is a must. And I admit that I haven't really done much of that for my own purchases. I was burned with Fictionwise when they closed down.
I may be burned quite a bit if Amazon ever gets out of the ebook business

Stock may be unlimited but the distribution license isn't perpetual. I regret not getting David Eddings' Belgariad and Malloreon series as ebooks before as they don't seem to be available in the US now.
As for DRM Removal, Kindle for PC/Mac makes downloading your entire library to your PC relatively easy.
