Gene Wolfe is an author I always meant to try and the Wizard Knight books sound accessible.
Would they be a good place to start?
(Just to hold off a slew of recommendations, I know a bit about Wolfe and Book of the New Sun and the Mists series and so forth. I'm just wondering if Wizard Knight is worth a read, I guess and how it compares to his other work.)
