MR seems adverse to locking long dead threads for some reason.
The iPad screen technology has greatly changed since this outdated thread was started, making it obsolete. But it will likely stay unlocked forever. Fortunately there is this command at the top of the thread's page:
Thread Tools --> Ignore This Thread
Execute that command and this thread will disappear from your list of available threads so you don't have to see it cluttering up your screen.
And I'm now executing that command.....
