Downpour frequently drops the ball on promotions and I wish they'd get their act together, but I hate to see them dismissed when they provide so many competitive advantages over Audible, including:
  • a base monthly membership price that's $2 less than Audible's
  • DRM-free books (this one's huge, for those with non-Audible compatible MP3 players, e.g. me)
  • credits you keep for a full year after purchase, even if you cancel your membership
  • annual sales where virtually every book is on sale and not just for members

TL; DR:

I'd hate to see Downpour go paws up.
