Firstly, I don't normally use PDFs on any of my Kobo ereaders. The main time I look at them is in response to a posts like this. And my general recommendation for PDFs and these devices is, "Don't".

Having said that, I've never seen any real problems like you describe. The display is usually good. Paging is a bit slow depending on the book. Zooming and panning is slow. But, I don't remember any freezing. I just tried three of four PDFs and a couple images on the Glo HD and there were no freezing. It was slow and not a great experience, but there was nothing I would call a "freeze".

But, can you clarify what you mean by "freeze"? It stops working and you have to restart the device? Or automatically restarts. Or it stops but then comes back to life after a bit?
