I'm too old to be trying to make things perfect and have learned to live with these vexing glitches and try to just roll my eyes and accept the warts. And no multi-monitor management packages for me.

I think it's like theducks is saying, it's some Windows glitch. The left monitor has been designated as the main monitor, where the login window shows when I restart.

I get even weirder glitches with Sigil; when I click on the pull down menus for the search box, they appear on the left monitor where they'd be if Sigil was on that monitor. Clicking twice more makes them show up properly on the right monitor. This started with the latest version of Sigil.
