I have the same problems with too many tags showing up on my Pocketbook devices. Does anyone know which specific Calibre plugin can be used to remove those metadata entries?

Edit: I have found the solution: After editing the tags, the EPUB needs to be polished with "Update metadata in the book files" ticked.
