I'm not sure it's actually possible to make a dockwidget go full-screen. Are you certain you can't grab the top of the window and drag it down and over far enough to get a hold of a side to resize it?

No. Unlike the other panes, the cursor goes to the absolute edges of the screen without changing to the' -¦¦- ' marker where you could click and hold. Ditto if I could grab the top border, it will only move vertically, so not changing the position of the sides. I have tried various things to check that I'm not over-scanning, and the edge of the frame is definitely the absolute edge of the app.
