If you can take a pic I would appreciate that, so I can get an idea of how dim it can go while being readable. Have you read a lot under these conditions without disruption to your sleep? I really like reading on my iPad but notice my insomnia is worse spending too much night time with it, unfortunately. Haven't tried red text yet though.

This thread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=292421 is a poll of what brightness setting people use to read in a completely dark room. In bed with the voyage about 6" from my eyes, I use level 6. Sitting in a dark room with the Voyage about a foot from my eyes, I use level 7. I thought I used darker setting than most, but looking at the poll results again, I guess not.
