Yep, it's pretty pricy pdf editor for an average user, but there was a free (fully functional) one month trial period and we can also buy an used older version of Acrobat Pro IX, X, XI at a more affordable price.

I'm not using (newer) Acrobat DC, but those who would like to try it out, can find the newest version of Clearscan OCR option therein, renamed as "Editable text and images".
