If I want to delete them from my kindle I can download them again later. Amazon doesn't allow me to send them awz3 files, so if I want backups, I only have the one on my laptop, rather than having one on the amazon cloud. Not the end of the world, but it is nice to have access to files I delete from my kindle without having my computer handy. Will keep experimenting with the docx to mobi conversion to see if I can get the line height to cooperate. Thanks again for your help!

docx is one of the allowed formats for send to kindle. What happens if you send the docx file to amazon? Meaning, what do you get when you later download it to your kindle, is it mobi or azw or still docx? And if it's still docx, is that usable?
