The Nook e-ink hardware has always been excellent. I've never owned one but over the years have often been tempted. The problem has always been the software and the company behind it. From what I can see both are now even worse. It may be wise to remember that Waterstones stopped selling ebooks and directed their e-book customers to Kobo back in 2016.
