I have (owned) an array of both Pocketbooks and Onyxes. Likebooks have a similar Android like on Onyxes. The Android experience is very much different compared to Pocketbook.

In some sense Android is good: More apps to open files with, modify, share, and connect in various ways. On the other sense it is bad: Much-much slower startup, more distraction when started up, a long list of optimization fails, and Android 4 is getting really old.

If you read more for pleasure than for research, Pocketbook is better: Option to boot up straight into the book where you left off, sufficient inbuilt pdf/djvu capabilities without overdoing it.

With Onyxes (probably Likebooks also), covers are included when you buy the device. Covers are absolutely needed for the protection of the ereader you own.
