Just a side note or two to my post above, and to the post of the person who initially mentioned Chirp Audiobooks as a source for audiobooks.

First, like every other audiobook company that I know anything about, Chirp has its own proprietary library where your audiobooks go. How I wish that all of my audiobooks could go to a single site (and, likewise, my ebooks!)! Sometimes I go through numerous audiobook libraries of different companies in order to find something that I would like to hear. And I have audiobooks in so many libraries that I feel sure that there are some that I have forgotten that I have!

Secondly, and related to my first point, I have a little trepidation in buying Chirp audiobooks at all, given that they're apparently a new company. What if they bite the dust? What will happen to my precious library of audiobooks? I wish that I knew. Maybe someone can tell me.

I consider one thing about Chirp to be a mixed blessing. First the good side. At least some of their sales last for a much longer time than most other audiobook providers (one exception that I think of right away is ChristianAudio, which at least some of whose sales last for a whole month). The two audiobooks that I was interested in (I bought one) were supposed to be on sale for 16 additional days! However, one negative that I see to that is that after such a long time, I might forget about Chirp, and so forget about checking for their sales.

I know that this post is getting away some from "Deals and Resources," so maybe just a couple of short comments would be in order.
