I would like to get that "official beta tester-badge". But on the other hand, there is their service.
I just don't get why they don't use a boot loader that can program the flash (or give us the possibility to access it). There are enough of them out there, only two names: Redboot or U-Boot. Must be that whole "security-by-obscurity"-thing. And one last thing: I had a SIMPad and a Zaurus in the past and I didn't manage to brick them like I did with the iLiad, especially because I could reflash the devices from the bootloader level.
