It seems they are using an unusual system for side loaded content. The spsd looks like it's a virtual partition within the regular android user partition. The picture shows how Solid Explorer reads the partitions on a Glowlight 3, SD Card = spsd. I haven't upgraded the memory, this has the standard 8GB.

I believe their implementation of this partition is either very poorly done or that android doesn't really support this kind of thing very well. What ever the issue is I can't believe they would release another reader without fixing or changing it!

I had tons of corruption issues side loading books onto the spsd but I've since installed Calibre Companion which saves books on the regular android internal partition (CC doesn't see the spsd partition at all) and I have had zero corruption issues.
