You could use Sigil's mass renaming:

1. Select multiple JPG files in the Book Browser (Shift-Click or Ctrl-Click).

2. Right-click highlighted files, then press Rename.

4. Name it something, and Sigil will number them sequentially for you. For example, if you type:

Chapter01
Sigil will renumber the rest:

Chapter02.jpg
Chapter03.jpg
Chapter04.jpg
[...]
