That is correct. However Apple has never allowed import of files into the native video app, music app, or ringtones from iCloud, regardless. These are sandboxed off from the rest of the storage and require iTunes to access. Expanding external storage from DCIM camera importing to full file system support does not, in itself anyway, change this.

My biggest worry is that Apple is going to use this as an excuse to eliminate personal ringtones altogether, forcing us to use the store to get new ringtones.
