That’s a tough call. I still have both of these Kindles (my PW1 is 3G), just pull them out to charge them once in awhile but no longer use them.

I think the display is slightly clearer on KK, and I used to like being able to use TTS sometimes, but I prefer navigation with touch to walking through menus. Also I think PW1 supports Cloud collections, which can be important if you have more than one device going (which I do). Also has the front light, but it was version 1 of that and it is a bit uneven compared to later iterations.

Battery is easier to replace on KK, if I remember correctly. The PW1 was the only Kindle where I had any serious issues with lack of storage (it has only about 1/3 of KK’s). And KK has an accessibility feature, Voice Menus, so you can read without being able to see the screen (with TTS). We had to wait for PW3 for Accessibility features to return to Kindle in the form of Voice View.
