It found me on Google maps...but maybe it was able to do that with wifi.

In addition to reading (which I focused on due to this forum's purpose), I was able to put on my VPN and download materials from the interwebs using a torrent client. I prefer to avoid doing such activities with any of my pc's to keep the occasional "you shouldn't get files from strangers on the internet" problems away from my real computers. I also have a raspberry pi that I use in a similar fashion. One of the nice advantages of Android over iOS is this use case. Much easier to work with a file system that's accessible.
