I would always choose a Kindle Keyboard over a Paperwhite1. The light on the paperwhite 1 is rather blue and bugs me (My Mom loves hers, but she does not have vision problems). How books are sorted is different as well. I have never liked Collections -always preferring the organization system of the K3. FWIW, I have 4 Kindle Keyboards, a PPW2, PPW3 and Voyages and some other ereaders.

All are used regularly. I use the paperwhites at the YMCA and elsewhere if I think the lighting is going to be poor.
