You can sync reading positions using my Kobo Utilities plugin. But, it needs you to plug a device in, fetch the reading status and the plug the other in and push them there. It is a bit clumsy for day-to-day use to sync the devices.

The other step is getting the same books on the devices. For this, I use the Reading List plugin. I create a reading list for each device I have. When I get a new book, I put the book on the reading lists for the devices I want it on. When I connect the device, I sync the reading list for that device and the books are sent and put on the appropriate collections.
Hmm, the Reading List plugin sounds interesting. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip!
