My last use of Android tablets was around 4-5 years ago. My impression back then was majority of the apps were very much phone-centric. Given even pro-Android tech blogs have given up on Android tablets as a lost cause, I reckon that situation hasn't really improved much.

That’s the way I read it, the iPad Mini is the best if you need a versatile tablet with ebook reading.

I’ve noted over the years that if you look at the same app on iOS and Android the iOS version is better, often more fully featured and the presentation of the books much better. That is in comparison to FireHD 8, Asus ZenPad and a slew of other Android devices.
That isn’t meant to say there aren’t some better ebook readers on each of the mobile os’s.
Of course that is my subjective opinion.
