I used the last of the Taiwanese Oolong yesterday.
The fruit and vegetable store I used to go to closed last year. There's another one near us -- larger, and actually a bit closer -- but it's not near any of my other regular stops. Last week I drove out to it, looking for some buckwheat honey. I bought a large batch of broccoli, a sack of apples, etc., but they had no buckwheat honey.
But, in the back of the store, I fond a large, inexpensive package of Turkish black tea. I thought it might be a nice break from my usual Chinese tea and picked it up.
I'm having the first mug now. It's very good. The dry tea is "dust," which I was a bit concerned about, but it turned out alright. I would describe the flavor as "deeper' and "fuller" than the Oolongs I usually have. When this pack is done I'll pick up some more and add it to my regular rotation.
But, it could definitely use some buckwheat honey.
