I thought this feature was on my Voyage but when I went to highlight about a week ago, it was that old grey bar. Must have confused my basic Kindle 8th Gen, which definitely underlines, with it. But just a few days ago I turned on my wifi to sync and check out the store and lo and behold the next time I highlighted, and probably after putting it in sleep mode, it was highlighting the new way.
I much prefer the underline, it makes it easier to read what I'm highlighting.
