What firmware version was the Kindle running the last time KUAL was working properly?
You give a link to the directions you followed, but do not mention what KUAL package you where using. The one at the same link?
What is wrong with your using MrPI to install the package?
Why do you think you need to use your own scrip rather than trust the package build to have gotten things correct?
Even after being told to install the most recent "hotfix" package, you do not give us any hint as to if you actually followed that direction.

You must give enough detailed information for us to stand a chance of helping you fix whatever you have done to that Kindle.
