The light was the biggest deal for me. For my Sony, I bought an LED light that used a AAA battery and the base of it fit into a pocket on the Sony's cover. It had a flexible neck with a single LED that you had to position just right because of the glare. I used to wedge it between the Kindle keyboard and its cover when I got that. It was a pain, which is why I switched to tablets.
I don't remember exactly, but I think I paid around $200 for the Sony not including the cover and the light. Even at full price, this new Kindle is under $100 and the people here are talking like it's the worst thing out there. Just amazes me. My, how times have changed.
