It does not -- it uses ePub as its native format. You can convert Mobi documents to ePub using Calibre and import to Stanza (don't use Stanza Desktop to do the conversion, it does a very poor job).

Alternatively, the Bookshelf app for the iPhone reads unprotected Mobi files natively.
