Yes, I do get a warning: Failed. “Kobo database version unsupported” and then when I click on details, it says the following:

“Your Kobo is running an updated firmware/database version. As calibre does not know about this updated firmware, database editing is disabled, to prevent corruption. You can still send books to your Kobo with calibre, but deleting books and managing collections is disabled. If you are willing to experiment and know how to reset your Kobo to Factory defaults, you can override this check by right clicking the device icon in calibre and selecting “Configure this device” and then the “Attempt to support newer firmware” option. Doing so may require you to perform a factory reset of your Kobo.
Device database version: 152.
Device firmware version: (4, 14, 12777)”

Should I go ahead and do this? I am capable of this much. Lol

I have Apprentice Alf installed with Calibre but don’t know what I am doing wrong. It doesn’t seem to do anything for me. I thought it was automatic. I did find an update for Apprentice Alf (6.6.3 I think), and I downloaded it to my computer but can’t seem to figure out how to get it into Calibre. I went to Plugins, Load plugin from file, but it doesn’t show up and when I search for it, I can’t find it in the pop-up window. I have to click on my files to find it, but then don’t know how to move it (I assume I am moving the compressed zipped version????). I also installed the KFX Input and Output plugins, as well as the Kobo plugin (not sure if I did the right thing; I know so little about this). Calibre is amazing, but a little overwhelming for me.
