I let my VIP expire a couple of months back. Got the same email with the same code at 3 different emails.

It would let me upgrade to VIP on more than one account if I wanted to. Once you purchase VIP there's not a way to buy more than one year at a time or renew early to extend your VIP if you're already a member.
