Cannot agree more! I file this problem to Amazon CS under registration problem!
It seemed that Amazon firmware update for Kindle DXG somehow did not contain the right factory reset routine. Once a factory reset initiated it will mess with the certificate rendered it to missing, etc.
For Amazon to listen, it needs more Kindle 2i, Kindle DXi, Kindle DXG owners to file these problem to Amazon CS under unable to register through the device after factory reset. Kindle Gen 1-3 are probably the device that affected.
