what worked for me is the following :

update_pw4_5.10.1.3_factory.bin, use "update your kindle" option

kindle-jailbreak-1.15.N-r15581.tar.xz, follow instructions and use ";installHtml" in search bar.

JailBreak-1.15.N-FW-5.x-hotfix, copy "...bin" and use "update your kindle" option

kual-mrinstaller-1.7.N-r15920.tar.xz, just extract and copy "extensions" and "mrpackages" folders(with contents) to top level folder on kindle over usb.

KUALBooklet-coplate-e9f54e6-20190412.zip, copy "....install.bin" file to "mrpackages" folder and type ";log mrpi" in search bar

kindle-usbnet-0.22.N-r15920.tar.xz,
Copy "Update_usbnet_0.22.N_install_pw2_kt2_kv_pw3_koa_k t3_koa2_pw4.bin" to "mrpackages" and install from KUAL menu. you should now have a menu in KUAL to control USBNetworking.

after installation and initial activation of USBNetworking the Kindle may throw an error about being "unable to start sshd". A reboot of the kindle seems to fix this.

I am using Putty on Windows 7 to connect to the kindle and the info. in the following post told me everything I needed to know, thanks to "Awak" for his post.
