Hmm.. interesting! But probably we are too far by considering hardware modification to make 4G-LTE enable Kindle DXG.

Would the problem on Kindle DXG is as simple as missing certificate after a factory reset and Kindle DXG cannot retrieve this from the server causing:

One more thing, it seemed whenever Kindle DXG initiate registration, it will search for a file in "/var/local/java/prefs/acsr":

That makes me wonder probably a file at this location is missing after a factory reset. If someone with a fully working Kindle 2i, Kindle DXi, or Kindle DXG can provide info on what files is in that directory, then we might be able to find out what file that Kindle DXG try to retrieved from Amazon server.

If we are lucky, then maybe we can produce a similar file by hexing to comply with our Kindle ID, ESN, and MDN.

Then we could discuss 4G-LTE modification to anticipate Amazon move to kill 3G in January 2020.
