I ignore their offers because:
The books have DRM and you must use their app.
Yeah, I really want ANOTHER app
They don't have any catalog of books that I could find, just a few that are on "special offer".
My big question is this: What happens to your purchased books if/when they fold and quit supporting/updating their app?
I suppose if you view the purchase price as a rental to might be worth it. They are cheap enough to be viewed that way. Sign up for their email and you may find something you want.
I agree with your comments on Bookbub and get their daily email.

Lots of excellent points. Thanks.
As far as the "big question" is concerned, that's definitely a valid concern. Not all companies are as gracious as Tantor Audio, who gave notice (of what length? 30 days? 60 days?) to their retail customers for them to move their audio files off of their servers. (Thank you, Tantor!).
But, Chirp might end up acting like Barnes & Noble, and give
no notice that they're all-of-a-sudden not going to let customers who bought (licenses to) their ebooks, from downloading those books. Call it premonition or whatever, but for some reason, I decided to go through and download (that was an option then) my ebooks with them. Thankfully, I got a significant way through that process before the door closed on it.
Then there's Westminster Theological Seminary (WTS) Bookstore. No premonition with them--I just tried to access one of the ebooks that I bought from them and couldn't. Seems that there were making some changes to the bookstore and letting customers keep their ebooks was one thing that they had changed. Apparently without any notice or any warning. The rep that I talked to on the phone about it hem-hawed around, but finally sent me a zip file with all of my ebooks. I wonder how many thousands of customers weren't so "lucky."
Yep, I'm real cognizant of the potential problem.
