I hide Ratings as they have no use to me. All the sources of ratings have been 'gamed' or skewed by modern P C attitude. Which is part of the reason I don't look at those. I disabled them in Downloaded metadata, but they still come in via the books metadata. Since I really don't care, I just ignore the column.
To me 5 stars is 100% PERFECT, and no one human is. I once asked Amazon reviews Help, for guidelines for their review categories. No clue. I used to run the Test Equipment Calibration program for my employers. There is this thing cal 'Standards'. Everyone's Volt, Amp, MM, Gram, CC, is IDENTICAL, not wildly subjective like 'Ratings'
