I buy from Kindle now and then, and use K4PC (1.16 methinks) on Wine to download the file. Once downloaded I just drag and drop the file into Calibre (for Linux) and it strips the DRM away.

Once you have everything setup in a wineprefix, you only need to point the plugin to the wineprefix, and it'll do the magic
