Not sure if you folks know this or not.

But, every cellphone has a little moisture detector on it. It is usually under the battery. It will turn color if it gets wet. I think it starts white and will yellow or something when it gets wet. Also, some phone refuse to work if the moisture indicator has been "tripped". Some batteries have them too.

The indicator can not be tripped if you expect warranty service/repair on it. However, I have heard of reports of them being tripped just when the phone has been in the rain or something.
