Still not quite sure what you mean. I suspect you have a different workflow in mind.

In general when I'm running Linux - which is most of the time - I use Linux apps. I only use Wine for those apps I need to run under Wine and those aren't trying to launch other apps. So if I want a browser I launch (Linux) Chrome in the normal way, same with Calibre, same with whatever the default text editor is (if it's actual serious editting I'll open a terminal+vim).

I'm sure your use case is valid but it sounds more sophisticated than mine.
