One could consult pshrynk for multiple sessions of therapy trying to answer that same question, all at $300 a pop, to eventually get some long-winded diagnosis that tended towards the affirmative without certainty or absolution so as to lead into "future business", or one could just say "Yes" and go out for a pub-crawl. That's what I did; it's cheaper in the long run...or more expenseive, I forget which but I no longer care (try getting money out of an invisible friend sometime).

Or, are invisible friends just imaginary friends in minds that can't handle reality?

In another forum, someone recently said that they called their un-met internet-friends, "imaginary friends". I guess DGma and Ricky are no longer imaginary nor invisible to each other. I did a trust test with Adrian once, falling back into his arms. Some said it was because he didn't exist that I hit the floor, but I know he was over at the bar chatting to DixieGal, the unreliable bastiche! Reality is overrated - I'd give it about a 6 out of a possible 10.

I imagine so. As the great Aussie one-hit-wonder song goes,
"I am the Real...Thing...Mm mow m-mow mow, mm mow m-mow mow, mm mow m-mow mow, mm mow m-mow mow, mm mow m-mow m-mow mow m-mow m-mow mow m-mow..."

Oscar occasionalyl stores, but it's a soft rumble, like a quietly deflating peat bog.
