Enjoying the quiet, for as long as it lasts.
It's King's Day today, so it'll be a lot noisier later on. Though not as noisy as normal; the cafés had new demands for the council this year and the council refused. So the cafés decided not to organize any big parties this year. Which means there isn't a huge podium on the square around the corner from us. Last night, King's Night, was a lot less noisy than normal and it quieted down a lot quicker after 1am (when the cafés aren't allowed to have amplified music outside) than other years.
However, King's Day is on a Saturday this year, tomorrow most people won't have to go to work. So I expect that there's a chance some neighbours will have after parties late into the night. So my earplugs and noise cancelling headphones are at the ready.
But for now it's quiet, except for the church tower playing music. I'm enjoying it whilst doing some chores before breakfast.
