Whether I'm editing a video or setting a book, 'Because I can' has never seemed a good enough reason for gimmickry. But if you insist on geometric transitions or Comic Sans, throw money at me and I'll deliver with a smile!

Sans-serif is used in a number of eBooks for the chapter headings. I see no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is an embedded font that's way too light for eInk screens and sometimes too light for an iPhone/iPad.
