Wacom Pens use EMR technology to "talk" between the tablet and the pen. The Pressure switch inside the pen also uses this signal to recognize how much you are pressing with the pen and where on the tablet.
I have a Wacom intuos pro Small graphics tablet I travel with. I find switching between it and different mice helpful w/ RSI issues.
I use also a XP-Pen Artist 12
Art tablet With Screen . Works fine for me.
